About GMAC

The GMAC Partnership Business Model is based upon an interpretation of the National Intelligence Model (NIM), and provides a common method for Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRPs) to manage their core business towards achieving their desired outcomes.

The GMAC model provides for:

  • The collection, analysis and interpretation of information relevant to the business of a partnership;
  • A method for presenting the information to Partnership Business Groups in order that decisions can be made, priorities for action set and resources directed to best effect;
  • A logical annual sequence of meetings with a clear relationship between strategic and tactical groups, responsible for delivering action.
  • A common business model that operates at a local and Greater Manchester level with a clear and beneficial relationship between the two levels.

The below diagram is a visual representation of the GMAC Partnership Business Model:

In addition to providing a model for partnership working locally, a GMAC Central Team exists centrally to both progress and provide analysis for strategic themes identified by the Team Manchester Public Protection Officers' Group (TMPPO), and to assist in the support and development of CDRPs and Strategic Analysts working locally in the 10 Greater Manchester districts. More information can be found on the Governance Arrangements page.
