Local Partnership Meetings

There are two types of groups required to meet for the GMAC Partnership Business Model to take place effectively in CDRPs - these are the Strategic and Tactical Partnership Business Groups.

Greater Manchester is composed of 10 CDRPs, therefore the names of these meetings may differ slightly in neighbouring areas, however the focus of each will be similar across the region:

A Strategic Partnership Business Group (SPBG) will meet at a three monthly interval.
Its function is to:

  • Set the priorities of the partnership;
  • Make significant resource decisions;
  • Make policy decisions.

A Tactical Partnership Business Group (TPBG) will meet at least monthly.
Its function is to:

  • Develop and manage delivery plans;
  • Direct resources and co-ordinate activity to achieve best results;
  • Monitor performance against the priorities;
  • Be accountable to the SPBG.

Both groups will commission and receive information from analysts to inform their business. Each CDRP will have a logical annual sequence of meetings with a clear relationship between Strategic and Tactical groups, responsible for delivering action locally. An example of a local Strategic Planning Cycle is below (dates differ in each CDRP):
